I found this gem today on digg:

Stallowned
Have fun with it and see what is the most creative thing you can put there:

Linux
or

openSUSE

I love this one:

Gates to switch to Linux
Have fun :)

Inspired by Benji’s great work I have tried and created a YaST Meta Package that will fetch and install everything that is required to run the latest Compiz, including Composite Community plugins, transparent cube and a brand new settings manager.

All you need to do to get these goodies is as root run rpm -e compiz compiz-gnome compiz-kde (Everything compiz), install yast2-meta-package. Fire up konqueror and click on this:

Click to install Compiz-git

Launch compiz with the following command:

compiz - -replace ccp &

gtk-window-decorator - -replace & (if running gnome/xfce)

or

kde-window-decorator - -replace & (if running KDE)

Start new settings manager:

ccs-settings &

Select all the plugins you like, if you select ‘animation’ make sure you disable ‘minimize’. To see what all animation effects are there in the plugin select  “Random Animations for All Events”

Have a lot of fun…

Note: These are development snapshot packages, do no use on production machine, use at your own risk ;)
