init 3

sh /path/to/ati-driver-installer-8.40.4-x86.x86_64.run

After installing the drivers , just run:

aticonfig –initial –input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf –force

And init 5

Do not use sax2 if it does not work for you, aticonfig bit is enough.

After compiz-fusion installation I restarted X and when I gave compiz-manager all I see is a white screen. I have to start a new console login, kill gdm and then start gdm again.
