Great, I got the icon, still, every time I log in, it FIRST starts the compiz, THEN, if I start the fusion-icon - it "realizes" KWin is the default and switches back... rather frustrating... Where's the bloody setting for no-compiz-at-all startup?

If you have X11:XGL repository enabled "zypper in fusion-icon" you will then have your lovely icon :)

To disable use simple-ccsm, that is where compiz switch is.

Hi!

Sorry, how does one DISABLE compiz? Once I had this lovely icon on the panel which allowed to choose between compiz/kwin whatever, but it's gone for good! And now every time I log in compiz starts, which doesn't let me watch videos (e.g. using mplayer), so I have to kill it everytime and replace with kwin! Nowhere in the config files or dialogs was I able to find where to disable it! Please help!

Thanks
